It is interesting what the bag industry comes up with. From tote bags to cross body purses to create an interest amongst consumers especially ladies and girls to purchase a bag each for each occasion.

So what are cross body purses? Can one use them comfortably? Are they a useful accessory to have? Would they make a fashion statement? Are they still considered trendy as the cross body shoulder bag? According to a site, the coach purses are small purse with a rather long strap and are assumed to be rather popular amongst girls and tweens. These particular bags are about large enough to place a clutch wallet and some cosmetics like lip gloss and maybe eyeliner. Not much of a space but well, girls and tweens have other bags to store their scrap books, pens, coloured pens, stickers, etc and thus this particular cross body purse would be more of a cute statement than being user friendly for more than a purpose.

So would the designer cross body purses be used comfortably? Well, by a glance around, no. It may be a passed trend as well as only the crochet ones seem to be available at very selected gift shops, one in particular that was seen at the bazaar at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Hardly any girls or tweens wear these bags as the cross body purses coach seems a more popular choice where even teens are seen with them. Even though they do not seem popular but this cannot be regarded as a majority view as it may be popular elsewhere in other countries.

Considering Cross Body Purses

Another popular accessory would be the cross body bags for women. Unlike what seem as cute cross body purses that seem to hold very little appeal. Women in general seem to prefer the cross body bags as it is trendy and is quite a must have. Judging from the array of available cross body bags from the cotton coloured ones to the leather designer ones, and the appearance of such cross body handbags in the latest magazines, the cross body bags for women and for men are certainly here to stay for a while.

So how would the revival of the leather cross body purses be? Or would be slip into oblivion as it appeals to only a very selected group of young girls and maybe tweens? It awaits to be seen as cute is no longer a fashion statement. Maybe when the fashionistas find a dazzling factor to add onto these purses, and market it as a must have for young girls, would it gather a following again. These days, Barbie is appealing, especially with the many animated movies that have her name. The others like Bratz and even Hannah Montana may just spark the needed liking for the purses to start a rampage amongst girls to want one again.
